Steve Lucero/BFA.com/ShutterstockFor the past several years, burgundy has been a staple fall color. The wine hue, which toes the line of both purple and brown, has proved itself to be a neutral and an understated—yet powerful—pop of color. However, after consecutive seasons of dominance, it seems to be ceding its place to tomato red, which PureWow's fashion and beauty director-at-large, Deena Campbell, saw all over Paris during fashion week. But during her first public outing in the U. K. since relocating back to the London area earlier this fall, Meghan Markle eschewed the new shade for burgundy—and I don't blame her. Dan Levy Says He’s ‘Speechless’ Over Shane Gillis’ Misogynist ‘SNL’ Monologue - HuffPost

Dan Levy is encouraging male viewers to denounce Shane Gillis’ controversial “Saturday Night Live” monologue, noting he’d been personally left “speechless” after catching it over the weekend. On Sunday evening, the “Schitt’s Creek” actor and co-creator shared a short video on Instagram in which he called Gillis out for his much-scrutinized “SNL” remarks. “Women wearing short shorts at the gym does not make them whores. It makes the men calling them whores misogynists,” Levy said. “There’s a difference there. By the way, I’ve seen more men’s nipples at the gym than I’ve seen women showing their bodies off.”“But I’m speechless that something like that can exist on live national television,” he continued.

Al Jardine on His Beach Boys Reunion Show, Mike Love’s Health: ‘I’m Speechless’ - Rolling Stone

When Al Jardine phones up Rolling Stone, it’s a little over 12 hours since he got offstage at his surprise reunion concert with former Beach Boys bandmates Bruce Johnston and David Marks at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts in Cerritos, California. It was an incredible night of music that also featured unannounced appearances from Carnie Wilson, Marilyn Wilson, and Jan and Dean’s Dean Torrence. Jardine calls us shortly before boarding a flight, and continues the conversation once he takes his seat and awaits takeoff. There’s much to discuss. The Cerritos show marked Jardine’s first time sharing the stage with Johnston in well over a decade, the live debut of the 1979 Beach Boys deep cut “It’s a Beautiful Day,” a rare opportunity for fans to see Marks play classics like “Surfin’ Safari” and “Little Deuce Coupe” that he recorded as a teenager in the early 1960s, and only the second time that Marilyn Wilson has performed the Beach Boys Love You favorite “Let’s Put Our Hearts Together” since laying down the original vocal in 1977.

James Cameron congratulates Avengers: Endgame's box office success with bonkers image - A.V. Club

Marvel Studios’ release of Avengers: Endgame: Encore was a shrewd gambit for a few reasons: It put the studio’s most successful film back in conversation right after the juggernaut success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day; it tided die-hards over with new footage ahead of December’s Avengers: Doomsday; and, perhaps most importantly, it raked in an additional $138 million for the film, reinstating its position as the worldwide box office champion over James Cameron’s Avatar. Cameron, who certainly doesn’t spend his precious time fretting about such matters as lifetime financial grosses and being the best in the world at stuff, recently expressed his congratulations to Marvel for once again overtaking his 2009 sci-fi film. “You are one of the people,” the director wrote (per The Wrap) in a composite image from Avatar, with Iron Man at the center of a welcoming Na’vi tribe. “Congratulations to Marvel and the #1 Avengers: Endgame: Encore for bringing moviegoers to the cinemas! – Jim Cameron.”
