What Manitobans Are Saying About Trade and What It Means for Manitoba Businesses - Manitoba Chambers of Commerce
Canada’s trading relationship with the United States is entering a period of continued uncertainty, and Manitoba businesses are watching closely. For a province deeply connected to cross-border trade and North American supply chains, changes in tariffs and trade policy can have real implications for purchasing decisions, operating costs and access to products and materials. To better understand how Manitobans are viewing these issues, the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, Business Council of Manitoba and The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce came together to initiate public opinion research through the Manitoba Omnibus. The September 2026 survey of 1,000 Manitobans, conducted by Abacus Data, examined views on Canada-U. S. trade, tariffs and their potential economic impacts. The Manitoba Omnibus is a long-standing Manitoba public opinion survey originally conducted by Probe Research.
