Javi Hernández, LALIGA EA SPORTS U-23 Player of the Month for August - LALIGA official website

João Cancelo has returned to FC Barcelona to stay. The Portuguese player, who spent half a season on loan from Al Hilal Saudi FC, signed a permanent contract in the summer and could not have got the 2026/27 season off to a better start: a dream start for the team and a stunning goal against Real Racing that has been crowned the LALIGA EA SPORTS Goal of the Month for September. In the 8th minute of the first half, Cancelo unleashed a powerful, curling right-footed shot that left Agirrezabala’s dive in vain. In his very first start of the season, the full-back played until the 78th minute and, upon being substituted, received a well-deserved ovation from the Spotify Camp Nou crowd.

Hansi Flick has been named LALIGA EA SPORTS Manager of the Month for September. FC Barcelona have had a spectacular month, winning every match they have played, which allows them to remain top of the table. The Blaugrana began September with a 5–0 thrashing of Valencia CF at Mestalla, before securing a 4–2 away win against Levante UD, achieving a resounding 7–2 victory over Racing at the Spotify Camp Nou, and rounding off the month with a 3–1 win over Sevilla CF at the Sánchez Pizjuán.
