British Airways has revealed the completed interior design for its refurbished Airbus A380, giving the superjumbo the largest business class cabin currently found on a commercial aircraft. The fleet is being transformed from nose to tail, with 106 Club Suites occupying the entire upper deck, alongside new First, World Traveller Plus, and World Traveller cabins on the main deck. British Airways says more than 35,000 individual parts will be installed on each aircraft as part of the extensive refurbishment. The redesign represents a substantial change in how British Airways intends to use the A380: it will reduce overall capacity while allocating considerably more space to premium cabins.

British Airways is re-fitting its Airbus A380s with 106 business-class suites. Airlines love business class, and British Airways' latest updates to its Airbus A380s are proof. This week, the airline unveiled a major overhaul to the interiors of its superjumbos, including what it says is the world's largest business-class cabin, with over 100 suites spanning the double-decker jet's upper floor. "This is the largest single investment that any airline has ever made in reconfiguring an aircraft, stretching from nose to tail and touching every single aspect of the experience on board," CEO Sean Doyle said at a media event, which Business Insider attended. Over 35,000 individual parts are installed on each aircraft as part of the retrofit, which includes new galleys and staircases, British Airways said. While the A380 has fallen out of favor with many airlines since the pandemic, it still plays a key role in British Airways' fleet. The flag carrier has 12 such airplanes — the second most behind Emirates.

Emirates Vs. Qatar Airways Vs. Etihad: Which Carrier Has The Best Business Class? - Simple Flying
The Middle East is home to one of the most premium and competitive airline markets on the planet. Legacy carriers such as Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Etihad Airways all offer business class products that are among the strongest in the market. Determining a winner among these three can be challenging and varies based on which aircraft you actually fly. Let's break down these cabins across multiple channels, including hard product, soft product, and ground game. These carriers compete for all kinds of travelers, with connecting passengers increasingly becoming a major part of all their business models. The Qatar Airways Qsuite remains a key reference point for a business class seat with a suite-like feel, especially on routes where it is installed. Emirates is in the middle of a consistency upgrade, with the carrier set to roll out retrofitted Boeing 777s with a modern 1-2-1 layout, an important shift from the older 2-3-2 cabin that many travelers have aimed to avoid. Etihad's pitch is a more boutique vibe, with A350 business 'studios' that feature sliding doors and fully flat beds, aiming to blend privacy with a much calmer cabin.
