Ilhan Omar's husband breaks silence after FBI raid on home; denies concerns over immigration probe - The Times of India

US lawmaker Ilhan Omar. Ilhan Omar’s husband, political consultant Tim Mynett, has spoken out after federal agents raided the Minnesota congresswoman’s Washington, DC, residence as part of a criminal investigation into her immigration records, while also addressing questions about her reported absence from public view. Mynett was seen leaving the couple’s rented home on Wednesday to walk their golden Labrador, Teddy, and later to take out the trash, according to the New York Post. He was also seen accompanying one of Omar’s staffers out of the house. Asked by Fox News Digital whether Omar had left the country amid rumours following the raid, Mynett expressed frustration with reporters and said their presence was disturbing neighbours. “You guys are annoying the hell out of all the neighbors around here, man,” he said. The developments come amid an investigation by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) into Omar’s immigration paperwork. Federal agents searched her home on Monday, reportedly seizing her cellphone and passport, along with other items, according to US media reports.

US probes Ilhan Omar’s decades-old immigration paperwork with eye towards deportation, sources say - The Straits Times

WASHINGTON – A pre-dawn raid on Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar’s home by federal agents stemmed from an expanding investigation into her US immigration paperwork, three sources familiar with the case said in October. The investigation appears to centre on whether the Somali-born Omar, who has represented a Minnesota district since 2019, or her relatives gave false information upon entering the US as refugees in the mid-1990s or during the process of becoming American citizens. The sealed warrant for the search on Oct 12 listed conspiracy, false statements on immigration paperwork and immigration fraud as potential crimes being investigated, one of the sources familiar with the matter said. Like the others, they spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation. One of the sources familiar with the probe told Reuters that one potential aim could be to strip Omar of her US citizenship and deport her, ideas that both US President Donald Trump and his Homeland Security chief have floated.
