Tyrrell Hatton's Ryder Cup eligibility will be doomed if he chooses to play on LIV 2.0
Whatever becomes of LIV Golf 2.0, the DP World Tour has decided it won’t let those who compete in the rebel circuit’s new version have it both ways. In a statement to BBC Sport, DP World Tour CEO Guy Kinnings said the European circuit, which had previously reached agreements with LIV players to allow them into its tournaments, will no longer do so in 2027, effectively banning them from playing. “Players need to make a choice,” Kinnings told BBC Sport. “We have rules and regulations which are there to protect our tour and which our members must all abide by. Players who are not willing to comply with our rules and regulations should not be seeking to join our tour.”The DP World Tour had reached agreements that included granting conditional releases to LIV players in part to allow players like Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton to maintain their Ryder Cup eligibility. The DP World Tour oversees the European team, like the PGA of America oversees the American side.

After a season in which the DP World Tour granted conditional releases to LIV Golf players, the circuit has decided not to allow those still playing in the new version of the league to participate in its tournaments The DP World Tour will not allow golfers who participate in LIV Golf 2.0 to join its league during the 2027 season, according to BBC Sport. Wilson finished fourth in his home World Cup, even after a crash in the final section of woods just a couple hundred metres from the finish line.

Israeli settlers attack European diplomats during West Bank olive harvest - Al Jazeera
Israeli settlers have attacked European diplomats, including a French mayor, near the Palestinian village of Taybeh in the occupied West Bank. The delegation was visiting Palestinian olive harvesters on Saturday when the Israeli attackers confronted the group. The attack comes a day after settlers assaulted a US journalist north of Ramallah. In Saturday’s incident, the settlers targeted Belgium’s consul general, French and Polish diplomats and Catholic representatives, Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot said. “A French mayor was assaulted and a Belgian vehicle damaged,” Prevot said, linking the attack to what he called Israel’s “illegal settlement policy” and pledging to push for further European Union sanctions. French mayor Bernard Baudoux, who was assaulted, told the AFP news agency that the violence suggests that “there is a tolerance on the part of the Israeli government” towards settler violence. Al Jazeera’s Nour Odeh, reporting from Ramallah, said the settlers surrounded the diplomats’ vehicles, pelted them with stones and smashed their windows.
