Dolly Parton’s Nephew Says Manager Dispute Has Taken Toll On Family - Newsweek

Bryan Seaver, Dolly Parton's nephew, says an escalating legal battle over the management of the late country star's estate has become a painful public ordeal that has "taken a toll on his family.” In a statement sent to Newsweek on Monday through his attorneys, Dominic J. Leonardo and James L. Collier, Seaver appeared to accuse Parton's longtime manager Danny Nozell of presenting a one-sided account of their dispute and argued that messages cited in court filings have been taken out of context. Newsweek contacted Nozell via email for comment on Monday. The comments come as newly filed documents obtained by Newsweek show the estate continuing to rely on emails allegedly sent by Seaver as it pursues claims against him. The dispute centers on allegations that Seaver interfered with estate-related business relationships after Parton's death, claims he denies. A court hearing is scheduled for October 20 as both sides continue filing new evidence. Seaver Says Dispute Has Become Public Ordeal Seaver's attorneys issued a statement Monday describing the case as a private family matter that has become increasingly public. "Mr.

Dolly Parton's nephew accused of using 'no trespassing' sign, barbed wire to deter process server - Los Angeles Times

Dolly Parton’s estate is alleging that Bryan Seaver, the country icon’s nephew and former head of security, used a “no trespassing” sign and barbed wire to avoid being served legal documents. There is an active restraining order and lawsuit against Seaver by Parton’s company, She’s Alive LLC, which is run by Parton’s former manager, Danny Nozell, for allegedly threatening and extorting her estate. Seaver served as Parton’s head of security for more than 20 years and, on Aug. 25, delivered the news of his aunt’s death via a video on her Instagram account. Legal troubles for Seaver first came to light on Sept. 22 when a case was filed by She’s Alive in Davidson County Chancery Court in Nashville on the heels of Seaver’s termination as head of security. Both Seaver and his company, Squadron Augmented Protection Services LLC, are the defendants in the lawsuit. In documents reviewed by the New York Times, Seaver is accused of mounting “an obscene, deliberate and escalating campaign of threats” to acquire money from the Parton estate, including a profane threat made toward at least one Dollywood business partner.

'Outrageous': Halle Berry responds to ex-husband Olivier Martinez's restraining order, abuse allegations - Yahoo

Halle Berry is speaking out against her ex-husband Olivier Martinez, after he accused the actor of physically abusing their 12-year-old son and was granted a restraining order against the Oscar winner. Marina Beck, an attorney for the 60-year-old "Catwoman" and "John Wick: Chapter 3" star, in a statement downplayed Martinez's protective order, granted Thursday by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge. "To say this filing is entirely meritless and deliberately misleading would be an understatement," Beck said, later accusing Martinez of repeatedly violating court orders and interfering with "necessary therapeutic and educational interventions to the detriment" of his son with Berry. The attorney added: "In a way, today's filing is not entirely unexpected from an individual with a well-documented history of erratic, possessive and violent behavior. Fortunately, Halle is used to this kind of outrageous conduct from Mr. Martinez and, while she is deeply saddened, she will not allow it to deter her from fighting for Maceo's best interests and providing him with the love and support he needs.
