Da Red Gobbo is back with another festive miniature – and this time he’s got himself a Squigmobile. Just make sure you’re out of the way – we’re not convinced he knows how to stop! Da Red Gobbo’s Squigmobile is a roaring, clanking contraption geared towards delivering presents at exceptionally high speed, which we dare say channels more than a few Wazdakka Gutsmek vibes. His long-suffering ‘elf’ assistant looks frankly miserable in the bomb-shaped sidecar – which honestly might just be a live bomb – but knowing what a jolly fellow Da Red Gobbo can be, he’s probably overreacting. See, da Gobbo is a safety-conscious boss. He’s even wearing a helmet.*This miniature will be available to pre-order soon, and if you want to use it in some fun casual games, make sure to grab this year’s Festive Activities Guide from your local Warhammer store in November. It contains Legends rules for Warhammer 40,000, Nemesis Operatives rules for Kill Team, and as unlikely as it sounds, Blood Bowl rules. Alongside the Squigmobile, our favourite yuletide revolutionary stars in a brand-new novella from Chem Dog author Callum Davis – Da Red Gobbo’s Reckoning.

Miniature brain and cardiovascular models head to orbit on SpaceX CRS-35 to study aging - The Brighter Side of News
Mount Sinai brain and cardiovascular tissue models launched toward the International Space Station aboard SpaceX CRS-35. The experiments will examine tissue function, genetic susceptibility and biological changes associated with spaceflight. Published miBrain research and a separate circulation preprint provide the groundwork; results from this mission remain ahead. Human brain tissue and beating cardiovascular organoids are headed into orbit to face an unusual laboratory test. Their destination is the International Space Station, where weightlessness and radiation exposure could reveal vulnerabilities difficult to study on Earth. The Mount Sinai investigations are traveling aboard SpaceX CRS-35, which launched October 13. They bring together researchers in stem cell biology, neuroscience, surgery and cardiovascular science at the Icahn School of Medicine. One project uses a personalized brain tissue model called miBrain. The other places cardiovascular organoids inside microfluidic chips, miniature devices that manage fluid around living tissue. The mission builds on established laboratory work, including a 2025 paper in PNAS introducing miBrain.

Astronomers say they’ve spotted the first miniature quasar pointed at Earth - Science News
Microblazars have eluded scientists for nearly 35 years A giant star and stellar-mass black hole orbit each other in this artist’s depiction. The black hole tears material off the star (inset), creating a jet that points toward Earth (left). An invisible jet pointing in the opposite direction may boost particles to extreme energies in the molecular cloud on the right.
