Description

A decade ago, U.S. personnel in Havana, Cuba, began to suffer mysterious symptoms — piercing head pressure, dizziness, nausea, loss of balance and even cognitive decline. So-called Havana Syndrome cases then spread to China, across the world and even inside the United States. The victims include some of the U.S.' most talented spies, as well as other American officials, some of whose lives have never been the same. "The Havana Syndrome" co-authors Oriana Zill de Granados and Michael Rey discuss why many of the victims feel they've been gaslit by the U.S. government. Compass Points from PBS News analyzes prominent international affairs topics and America’s role in a shifting world, breaking down global conflicts, rising tensions, and their implications for U.S. interests.
